Hair that is very dry, chemically treated or textured has fragile keratin; the cuticle scales are open and the hair fibre is porous. Healing Balm No. 56 has been specifically formulated to restore this natural balance: its plant-based oils — jojoba, sweet almond, organic sunflower, peach kernel and wheat germ — penetrate deep into the fibrer to replenish the lost lipid film, whilst organic beeswax seals the cuticle and protects sustainably the surface of the hair. Its creamy, rich yet non-greasy texture glides on like a cream and rinses out easily without leaving any residue.
For intensive treatment (very damaged hair):
- Apply Balm No. 56 generously to dry hair, working it through strand by strand, paying particular attention to the most fragile areas and the ends.
- Leave on for at least 20 to 30 minutes — leaving it on for longer under a shower cap helps the active ingredients to penetrate more effectively.
- Rinse with lukewarm water, then wash your hair with shampoo.
As a detangling conditioner:
- Apply to towel-dried hair after shampooing, from the mid-lengths to the ends.
- Work it in strand by strand, massaging it in, and leave it on for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Rinse with lukewarm water and style your hair.
As a leave-in daily treatment – for dry, frizzy or textured hair:
- Take a small amount and rub it between your palms.
- Apply to the dry lengths and ends, paying particular attention to the dehydrated areas.
- Do not rinse — style as usual.
Textured and frizzy hair:
- Apply generously to slightly damp hair, section by section, from the scalp to the ends.
- Comb through your hair with a wide-toothed comb, starting from the ends and working towards the roots.
- Leave in without rinsing for ongoing nourishment, or rinse out after 30 minutes for a weekly intensive treatment.
In the event of contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
