Lifestyle: Six Anti-Hair Loss Tips for Your Hair

Overview. When the system is neglected, the first cells that suffer from it are those that rapidly renew themselves, i.e. the skin’s and the hair’s. As a consequence, if your hair tends to fall too much, we recommend that you carefully monitor your lifestyle. In order to help you, here are 6 anti-hair loss tips, to follow daily.

Contents

1. Your diet
2. Say no to stress!
3. Easy on tabacco
4. Some exercise for the body
5. Some exercise for the hair
6. How to chose and use your shampoo

1. Your diet

The right diet for the hair includes as few ingredients that are rich in refined sugars as possible, and should bring you, daily, the 5 nutrition elements that are necessary to your hair follicle’s development: protein, sulphur, zinc, iron, and vitamin B.

2. Say no to stress!

Stress is the number 1 enemy. When it occurs, it triggers a chain of reactions at scalp level, such as the compression of blood vessels, a decreased irrigation of the roots, boosting the androgen hormones… Eventually, such reactions lead to the hair’s thinning and premature loss.

If you lose your hair and are not able to gain nervous control over your daily tensions, you can start magnesium therapy. It will contribute to the balance of your neurotransmitters: it is a natural regulator of nervous excitability, an excellent anti-stress remedy. We recommend 6 to 8 weeks of treatment, especially at the beginning of seasons (autumn and spring), which is when the hair is most fragile.

3. Easy on tabacco

Among other negative effects, tobacco diminishes the elasticity of blood vessels, which are particularly narrow and numerous at scalp level. It can thus considerably reduce the blood’s flow towards the roots.

Also, because the hair needs a daily intake of sulphured proteins, zinc and vitamin B, high quantities of tobacco could cause deficiencies of those elements, and thus have an impact on hair growth.

For your hair, six or seven cigarettes per day is the maximum.

4. Some exercise for the body

Contrary to a common misconception, exercise is good for the hair: it helps the body eliminate toxins via sweat and sebum. But some precaution is needed: sweat must not remain on the scalp because it risks unbalancing its pH. It is thus necessary to rinse the hair well, or wash it with soft products that do not foam much.

5. Some exercise for the hair

Just like any other part of the body, the scalp needs some exercise to boost the blood’s circulation and favour the roots’ action. Read our info file linkExercise for the hair.

6. How to choose and use your shampoo

A successful shampoo is an integral part of your lifestyle, especially if your hair’s volume tends to decrease. Just like teeth-brushing, the process requires a few ground rules in order to respect your hair’s natural balance.

Price should not be an issue: it is not the number of shampoos per week that matters, but the product’s quality and softness.

Rinse generously: even if you wash your hair everyday, and even if you are in a hurry, prolonged rinsing is the basis for healthy hair. Without it, the hair is dull and the scalp and the hair are more vulnerable to air pollution.

Every time you shampoo your hair, only do it once: the first shampoo washes, the second shampoo strips.
